We have some exciting news. DentSoc would like all of our students to get more involved with the Widening Participation programme. This involves visiting various state schools in London and talking about mang different aspects about studying Dentistry at King’s College London. This can be based around academic requirements, personal statements, UKCAT, interview preparation, life at King’s, or the course itself. It is a great opportunity for us Dental Students to be more involved with extra-curricular activities and it looks great on your CV. Of course, you will get certificates for volunteering as part of this scheme.
You will receive training and briefing before the school visit, and your travel will be reimbursed if it is far away.
We are interested to keep some of you as permanent volunteers on our system, however we do understand that you may have clinics therefore we would like to know your white space day so we can take this into consideration when emailing you about other opportunities.
